Workstation Conferencing Software
Microport Conference Link is a powerful workstation conferencing software program. This collaborative product allows users to run applications in real-time on multiple workstations. Each user can interactively operate the program and have the results reflected on each machine. Coordinated by Conference Link, the application program being shared runs in parallel on each workstation. This allows high performance graphics programs (i.e. CAD/CAM and others) to be shared in real time between multiple users.

Parallel processing allows high speed graphics even over dialup connections. The graphics performance of today's workstations has prohibited high speed application sharing on inter-connect mediums such as local area networks and phone lines. Even the new higher band-width mediums have not provided enough data capacity. By allowing workstations to share graphics information in parallel, Conference Link is not affected by band-width even over dialup connections.
For Sun Sparc, Conference Link supports Solaris 2.x and SunOS 4.1.x running Openwindows, Motif, and most other window managers.
